How do I register for a class?
Please come to the school personally to register or you may send a representative to register in your behalf by appointment only. Please call (630)855-3977 to schedule an appointment with the admissions counselor. You can fill out the student application in the office.

What do I need to register?
Must be 16 years old and over with a valid Social Security Number (SSN). Bring a state issued ID (Driver’s License or State ID), cash or credit card or Zelle to pay initial down payment which will be credited towards the total cost of the program. 
Please also bring health insurance card if available. We also need a physical examination from your physician with PPD Mantoux Test (TB test) done within the last 12 months. If you can bring them during registration, that would be perfect! Otherwise, please bring them on the first day of class. 
When you come to register, you will be given an English test as a state requirement and fill out an application for IL Healthcare Worker Registry Background Check.

How much is the cost of the tuition?
Tuition cost is $995. Books, uniforms and other course fees are additional.

When is the next class?
We have a new class that starts every 7 weeks (morning class) and every 5 weeks (evening class). The morning class is from 830a-254p, Monday and Tuesdays only. The evening class is from 5p-930p, Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri. Please check our website, under Schedule for start dates and end dates of each class.

When can I take the state test?
Once you have completed the training program with a passing grade and has met all the other requirements of the Health Care Worker Registry, you are eligible to take the state test.  Please visit www.nurseaidetesting.com , select Nurse Aide Students>Registration and Computer Based Exam Dates. Choose a Exam Date past the completion of your training program. If you would like to take the paper based testing, a list of dates and locations will come up once you have logged in and entered the portal.

Where can I take the state test?
Go to www.nurseaidetesting.com , select Nurse Aide Students> Test sites> Enter your Zip Code and a list of testing sites will come up with Exam Dates based on your zip code. We are now offering state exams here at Avid CNA School on Wednesdays and Fridays.


How do I register for the state test?
Once you have successfully completed the training program with a passing grade, the school will assist you in registering for the state test. We will assist you in entering your information into the system to be included in the official roster that would be submitted for taking the state test. Once the official roster has been submitted by the school, you will receive an email from support@dxrgroup.com with the subject NATCEP: Register for Illinois Nurse Aide Testing Competency Exam. Follow the instructions and link from this email to create your account and complete your registration for the exam.

How do I know if I passed the test and when will I get the result?
Results are processed and verified by SIUC. At the close of 3 business days you will receive an email with your unofficial exam result from support@DxRGroup. There are also two ways to check:
Go to www.nurseaidetesting.com, select Exam Registration> Enter Login ID and Password. Click the Sign In button. On the right side of your screen will have your exam results with PASSED or FAILED.
Go to www.nurseaidetesting.com, select Popular Links in the bottom of the website> IDPH HCW Registry> Search the HealthCare Worker Registry>Enter your Last Name and First Name. Under Competency, you will find a P (Pass) or F (Fail) right next to the date when you took the exam. 

I know I passed the exam, do I get a certificate in the mail?
No, you do not get a certificate in the mail. The only official exam results is posted on your Health Care Worker Registry, you can search your name here https://hcwrpub.dph.illinois.gov/Search. Or your future employer can check in the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry if you passed the certification exam. 

I lost my BLS card (CPR), how can I reprint it?

Go to https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards and follow directions on how to reprint your ecard.
